This
six month certificate level course offered by the National Computing Centre
(NCC) is aimed at those looking for a
foundation course in Information Technology. The
course has been written with no required prerequisites. It is suitable for
anyone from a school leaver to a mature adult looking for a career change.
Candidates are introduced to a broad range of topics relating to the use of
Information Technology in business. The objectives of the course are to develop well trained people with effective, practical business oriented IT skills, capable of making a real contribution in the workplace. Upon successful completion of this course, students are eligible to progress to the NCC International Diploma in Computer Studies (IDCS). The course establishes an international standard of high quality training, recognised and valued around the world. Flexibility
: It
is possible to complete the ICCS within 12 months however you are permitted a
maximum of 3 years from the date of your initial registration onto the
programme. It is recommended that you review the study schedule which identifies
when each module will run during the following 18 to 24 month period. By
considering the schedule it is possible to select the timing of modules to suit
your particular circumstances and thereby plan to complete the programme at your
own pace. You can then request your preferred study schedule when you register
