Approximately 65,000 students in Europe, Africa, Asia, Latin America, Australia and New Zealand are studying hard to become Chartered Management Accountants. Each went through the process of exploring the options and benefits before choosing CIMA.

Before making the commitment, take time to make sure CIMA told you everything you need to know. Explore the site thoroughly and read through the frequently asked questions in the left panel of the website. If there is anything else you want to know, get in touch with MCG ---here--- [New window] before registering.

Step 1: First establish your entry point.

CIMA now operate a flexible entry policy, which means that as long as you feel that you have a good knowledge and understanding of mathematics and English, there is no requirement for formal qualifications to register with CIMA for Certificate in Business Accounting.

You may not need to sit for all CIMA exams if you have a relevant academic qualification. In such cases you may be awarded exemptions from selected CIMA papers. Click --here-- [New Window] for details.

Attach and send your detailed CV / Resume ---here--- if you are not sure as to your entry level and need advice.

Step 2: Sign up with CIMA

You can register with CIMA at any time. However, when registering you should bear in mind the timing of CIMA exams. Exams for the CIMA Professional Qualification are held twice a year, in May and November. If you plan to take your first exam in May, you must register by 31 January. If you plan to take your first exam in November, you must register by 31 July.

You may either register online or complete the hard copy application form which should be completed and sent to CIMA along with the relevant documents.
